Morley Hoppner lead the construction of Unity Square, a commercial retail development located at the corner of Iber Road and Hazeldean Road at the border of Kanata and Stittsville in Ottawa’s West End. The 100,000 sq. ft. commercial development has eight commercial retail buildings that each house multiple tenants, including a grocery store, restaurants, drive-thrus, financial institutions, office space, and other retail spaces, along with surface parking.
Located adjacent to the planned extension of Ottawa’s Stage 3 light rail, which will run along the east side of Iber and Hazeldean, Unity Square was designed to serve as a vibrant, transit-connected commercial hub.
The project was delivered under a construction management contract, with Morley Hoppner providing a full range of preconstruction and construction services.
