Facilitating development and construction projects in Ottawa for over 35 years.

Morley Hoppner Hiring Construction Workers

Proud to be Part of Ottawa’s History

For over 35 years, Morley Hoppner has helped shape Ottawa and its surrounding areas, providing industry-leading construction and real estate development solutions to our clients and leveraging our passion for creating a sense of place and community. During that time, we’ve been fortunate to participate in the development and construction of some of central Ontario’s premier projects, from large-scale multifamily developments to recreational facilities and building revitalizations.

A Proud Partner of the Synergy Group of Companies

In October 2020, Morley Hoppner formally partnered with the Synergy Group of Companies (SGC), an integrated and forward-thinking organization based out of Edmonton, Alberta, created to provide clients with all of their commercial construction, interior build-out, and real estate investment and development needs. This partnership has helped support our continued growth and diversification here at Morley Hoppner.

Giving Back—A Part of Who We Are

We believe in making a difference in the communities in which our employees live and work. For us, it’s not just about building great structures but strengthening our communities.

For more than a decade, we’ve partnered with organizations like the Queensway Carleton Hospital, the Senators Foundation, the Cornerstone Foundation, and others. Because we’re only as strong as the communities we serve.

Morley Hoppner donated $100,000 towards the HOPES Rising campaign for mental health. “We have all grown up within a 5 km radius of the Queensway Carlton Hospital, and we believe in developing communities, not just land. We are grateful that we are personally involved in the community and dynamic enough to make a positive impact on the livability of our city,” said Ken Hoppner, partner. “Our hope is to help build a level of care that is more consistent with modern, therapeutic mental health care for the communities we build and live in. “It has been inspiring to work with Morley Hoppner on our Hopes Rising campaign. This is a firm who is sincerely invested in our community on so many levels. This gift demonstrates exceptional leadership and compassion for our community,” said Melanie Adams, President and CEO, Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation.

Greystone Village River Terraces Morley Hoppner Construction Projects

Morley Hoppner is proud to have completed the Rink of Dreams community project in collaboration with the Senators Foundation and City of Ottawa. Located at Ottawa City Hall, the Rink of Dreams features acrylic rink boards with LED lighting, and is just slightly smaller than an NHL-sized rink. The actual construction experience on a project of this nature was both exciting and rewarding—it was very easy to find trades and partners who were eager to donate their time and materials to the project, as all parties had a vested interest in making the project a success.

Morley Hoppner was one of the first companies to step up and offer their services to aid in the construction of Roger Neilson House, a much-needed pediatric care facility. Ken Hoppner joined the volunteer board of directors and offered his project management services. Ken was the driving force behind the project, ensuring that it was completed both on time and within budget. Glen Morley (who had just recently retired) was also asked by the Senators Foundation to act as Director of Construction, and the rest of our Morley Hoppner team dove right in to manage the budgeting, scheduling, job costing, coordination, and fundraising. With the passion of the entire construction community behind it, Roger Neilson House (formerly Roger’s House) officially opened its doors in May 2006, a full two years ahead of schedule.
