Morley Hoppner was the Construction Manager hired by Trinity Development Group to develop approximately 1.06 acres on the northeast corner of the Rideau Street and Chapel Street intersection in Ottawa. The site was formerly occupied by a synagogue and community centre that was demolished in October 2015.
The Story of Rideau & Chapel is the first phase of development of this site and is a mixed-use property consisting of a 25-storey residential building with at-grade retail and two levels of underground parking. The project is 447,000 sq. ft. and includes 315 premium residential units, with an additional building planned for a later phase at the site.
As Construction Manager, our Morley Hoppner team worked closely with Trinity’s design consultation team throughout, providing constructability, innovation, and value engineering design advice in addition to leading the overall construction program.
