Greystone Village is the redevelopment of the former Oblate lands, and an exciting mixed-use master-planned community that radically transforms Old Ottawa East. The master plan provides a variety of housing types and tenancies with up to 950 homes distributed throughout a street layout drawn from the surrounding community. It’s narrow street cross-section directs resident parking to rear lane ways, freeing the streetscape to become landscape-enriched and animated. Morley Hoppner was hired on a construction management contract by EQ Homes for the River Terraces condominium. The two nine-storey condominiums, completed over multiple phases, offer a multitude of common areas, amenities and parking. There is a total of 212 units ranging from 377 to 1,379 sq. ft. The Phase 1 building included a total of 178,000 sq. ft. and 106 residential units.
Morley Hoppner was Construction Manager for completing Phase 1 of this project, providing preconstruction and construction services. The team was led by Brian Morley (Principal-In-Charge), Ken Pidgeon (Estimator), David Derouin (Project Manager), Joe Nalli (Site Superintendent), Rino Cormier (Assistant Site Superintendent), and Jennifer Healy/Christine Wynnyk (Project Coordinators).
